Temple of Heaven Park – one of the most famous historical and cultural parks in Beijing, home to the Temple of Heaven architectural complex recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage. This was once where Ming and Qing emperors held ceremonies to worship heaven and pray for national peace and favorable weather. Today, the park not only attracts visitors with unique ancient architectural works such as the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the Echo Wall, and the Circular Mound Altar, but is also a distinctive community space for Beijing residents with activities such as exercise, dancing, chess, and traditional art performances. Summer Palace
Summer Palace
PROGRAM FOR GROUPS DEPARTING ON 13/10; 24/10; 6/11
Morning:
You have breakfast at the hotel, then the car takes the group to shop for rubber products as gifts.
Then visit the Summer Palace - the summer palace of Ming and Qing emperors with the Empress Dowager Cixi Palace, the Tower of Buddhist Incense, Kunming Lake, and Longevity Hill.
Afternoon: Free time for shopping at Wangfujing Shopping Centers - one of the busiest and most famous shopping streets in Beijing. Most of this avenue is pedestrianized and always full of walkers, making it one of the most modern and attractive avenues in China.
Visit Prince Gong's Mansion (Heshen's Residence), owned by the official 'second only to one, above ten thousand' Heshen, a favorite of Emperor Qianlong. To this day, this structure remains intact despite more than two centuries. However, taking advantage of that favor, Heshen plundered the wealth of the people and the nation; according to records, he was even richer than Emperor Qianlong. Therefore, the luxury and grandeur of Prince Gong's Mansion is understandable. Prince Gong's Mansion is very spacious, about 60,000 m2, including the residence and garden. The mansion was built very uniquely, gathering the full essence of Qing dynasty architecture, and is one of the most luxurious mansions of an official under the Qing dynasty.
