The most famous section was built from 220 BC to 200 BC under Qin Shi Huang – the first emperor of China. With a history of more than 2,500 years, the Great Wall has witnessed the rise and fall of many Chinese dynasties, and still stands majestically like a loyal guardian, watching the course of events and history turn.
