Autumn in Japan is a gentle love song that dyes every leaf golden, and nowhere can you fully feel that beauty like in Kyoto, Yamanashi, Nagoya, and Osaka. Kyoto wears a brilliant coat of deep red maple leaves, highlighting the scenery of ancient temples such as the Thousand Pillar Temple and Tenryuji Temple. In Yamanashi, under the shadow of majestic Mount Fuji, the red and orange hues of forest leaves reflect on the calm surface of Lake Kawaguchi, creating a scene that makes your heart stand still with emotion. Nagoya is no less charming with its majestic ancient castle embraced in autumn colors, and Hakone Shrine appears enchantingly with the brilliant Heiwa no Torii Peace Gate. But what creates a uniqueness found nowhere else is Senmi Shikizakura no Sato – a magical area where four seasons blend together. On early chilly autumn days, off-season cherry blossoms – Shikizakura – burst into bloom here, as if nature is whispering a gentle secret between golden autumn and pink spring. And then Osaka, the vibrant city, also becomes more tranquil under rows of blazing maple trees, as if listening to the hearts of Japan travelers beating with every breathless pulse before the fragile, alluring beauty of autumn in the Land of the Rising Sun, a rare Asian travel experience. Let Gateway accompany you on this journey.

Thousand Pillar Temple (Fushimi Inari) – The shrine ranks first among the 30,000 Inari-jinja shrines throughout Japan. The path leading up to the shrine is a system of many trails stretching about 4 km; along these trails are small shrines and many scattered Torii gates. Every year, many people come here to pray for smooth business and for their wishes to come true. To show gratitude when their prayers are fulfilled, they bring a Torii gate to place at the shrine as an offering. Therefore, the number of Torii gates has now reached about 10,000. This is also the location chosen as the filming setting for the famous Oscar-winning movie “Memoirs of a Geisha”.

Arashiyama Bamboo Grove – The quiet breath in the heart of Kyoto, like a world separated from modern life. The towering bamboo trunks stretch straight up to the sky, creating a lush green path where only the sound of the wind gently rustling through the leaves and sunlight filtering through each gap remains.
Togetsukyo Bridge – also known as the “Moon Crossing Bridge”, spanning the poetic Katsura River. This wooden bridge, nearly 155 meters long, has existed for over 400 years and is a symbol associated with the Arashiyama area.
