The cave covers nearly 10,000 m² with a complex structure, surrounded on all sides by very high cliff walls and stalactite and stalagmite formations of many strange shapes.
Viewing the fishing village, where visitors are easily captivated by the boats, the bamboo basket boats moored at doorsteps, and the houses tied to one another to withstand storms.
Viewing Incense Burner Islet (Hon Dinh Huong), a giant rock rising in the open sea, is a very sacred image of Ha Long. The incense burner standing between the vast sky and the boundless waters is used for offerings to heaven and earth, expressing the gratitude of the Vietnamese people toward the sages who helped defend the homeland, and honoring the legendary mother dragon, a sacred creature that greatly helped our people resist foreign invaders.
