CHINA NOSHOPPING: BEIJING – SHANGHAI

Guests have breakfast at the hotel. The tour guide takes the group sightseeing:
Tiananmen Square: The largest central square in the world, with 600 years of history, a source of pride for Beijing, surrounded by culturally and historically significant structures such as the Tiananmen Gate, the Monument to the People's Heroes, the Great Hall of the People, the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong,… Today, it is also the venue for many major cultural and political events.

Guests have breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, the group sets off for sightseeing:
Great Wall of China – A famous wonder known as the "First Wonder under Heaven" of China, and named a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. This famous wall was built of earth and stone from the 5th century BC to protect the country from invading armies. The most famous section was built between 220 BC and 200 BC under Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China. With more than 2,500 years of history, the Great Wall has witnessed the rise and fall of countless Chinese dynasties, standing majestic like a loyal guardian watching history turn. The group has breakfast at the hotel, then checks out. The tour guide takes the group to Hangzhou by high-speed train at 300-350 km/h, with an expected travel time of about 5 hours 30 minutes.
Guests have lunch at a local restaurant or a packed lunch on the train (depending on actual conditions).

The tour guide takes the group to explore Hangzhou – one of China's major cities of culture, history and economy.
West Lake cruise – a wonderful way to fully appreciate the poetic beauty of Hangzhou, the "jewel". Sitting on a boat gliding across the water, you can admire the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, the emerald islands and the reflections of ancient pavilions, and fully feel the romantic, poetic atmosphere of this lake, the only one in China recognised by UNESCO as a heritage site.

The group has breakfast at the hotel. Then they check out and set off for sightseeing:
Xitang Water Town (Wuzhen Xizha) is famous for more than 70 small bridges linking both banks, of which the Tongji Bridge and Renji Bridge cross at right angles, creating the most unique and romantic scene of the water town. Guests are free to stroll around the old quarter and visit some suggested spots: the Wuzhen Post Office, the Qiaoliqiao teahouse, the White Lotus Pagoda – a viewpoint over the whole town, the Caomu Bense dye workshop – to take photos with blue-dyed fabrics, and free boat rides through the water town...

After breakfast at the hotel, the group checks out. The tour guide takes the group to explore Shanghai – a city with diverse architecture from old quarters to modern urban districts, showing a harmonious blend of past and future.
Xintiandi – a district that blends old and new Shanghai. The stone houses with traditional Shikumen architecture have been skilfully renovated, turning the area into a lively destination with cafés, restaurants, fashion boutiques and art galleries.
