Glamorous Shanghai and poetic Hangzhou by West Lake create a China tour itinerary taking visitors on a journey through the prosperous Jiangnan region. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the most modern Shanghai tour, part of the system of distinctive Asia tours. Let Gateway accompany you on this journey.
Sights: SHANGHAI – WUZHEN – HANGZHOU
Itinerary

The group checks into the hotel and begins the Shanghai sightseeing tour:
Xintiandi Pedestrian Street - presenting the appearance of a characteristic mixed-use neighborhood of Shanghai. The unique and impressive architecture, notably the Shikumen buildings still retaining their ancient brick walls and tiled roofs, makes you feel like you are traveling back in time to the 1920s. It was favored by the Shanghai middle class and the local literary community with many works praising life in the area.
Lujiazui is the financial district of Shanghai, known for its modern skyscrapers such as the Shanghai Tower with a high observation deck.
After dinner, you can join the Huangpu River cruise program to admire the beautiful scenery on both the west and east banks of Shanghai city under the colorful lights of high-rise buildings along the river, or take the subway to explore Shanghai city at night (at your own expense, about 200 yuan/guest).
Overnight at a 4* hotel in Shanghai

North Bund Park: admire the Bund during the day, this spot allows you to see the symbols of Shanghai up close.
Check in at Rei Flower Coffee café located along the Suzhou Creek to view the Bund (drinks not included).
Shopping at the jade stone store
The group has lunch at a restaurant.
After lunch, you can choose to leave the group to go to Disneyland Park (Cost quoted at the time – sightseeing ticket costs or meals when leaving the group will not be refunded) or continue with the group to visit City God Temple – featuring an ancient style from the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of over 400 years. This is also a characteristic feature of ancient house architecture in Shanghai with hanging red lanterns – images we only see in Chinese TV dramas.
The Bund International Building - located along the west bank of the Huangpu River with a length of about 1.6 km. Currently, the port no longer has ships passing through, serving purely as a tourist sightseeing spot. Running along the dock are large buildings with diverse architectural styles, from Gothic, Renaissance, Romanesque to Baroque. The classical and neoclassical architectural works were mostly built in the early 20th century.
Take photos with the Louis cruise ship – a symbol of Shanghai's elite (exterior photo).
The group has free time for shopping at Nanjing Pedestrian Street - Nanjing Street, one of the unique destinations in China, is a symbol of the delicate blend between traditional culture and vibrant modernity. Located in the center of Nanjing city, this street is not only a gathering place of historical relics and ancient architecture but also the bustling heart of urban life.
Overnight at a 4* hotel in Shanghai

PROGRAM FOR GROUP STAYING AT 4-STAR HOTEL NEAR WUZHEN (3 meals included)
Breakfast at the hotel – then the car takes you to visit
Wukang Road – a road associated with the long history of Shanghai, where ancient houses intermingle with traditional architecture. This mansion area was once home to many famous figures in Chinese history, including renowned actors.
After lunch, the group continues to Wuzhen (Xizha) – one of the largest ancient water towns in China with over 1,300 years of history. Wuzhen stands out with its ancient stone bridges, stone-paved roads, and intricately carved wooden structures, having largely preserved its architecture and living customs for over 1,000 years, making it a destination every traveler wishes to experience at least once.
