Japan's spring begins in Kawazu – where the first sakura awaken after the long winter. Bright pink blossoms spread along rivers and hillsides like nature's gentle greeting, announcing a new spring in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Following the early blooming season, your journey takes you to explore modern Tokyo, admire the majestic beauty of Mount Fuji, immerse yourself in the famous Kawazu cherry blossom festival, and then continue to Nagoya, Kyoto and Osaka – cities that preserve the essence of Japan's culture, history and distinctive rhythm of life. What makes this trip to Japan so attractive is not only its famous destinations, but also the feeling of touching the most beautiful moment of the country's seasonal change. When the first blossoms open in the spring breeze, when Mount Fuji is still crowned with white snow and the old streets begin to take on a gentle pink hue, every scene becomes as poetic as a poem. A journey that shows you why the sakura season is the most anticipated time of the year for Asian travellers, and why Kawazu has become the spring rendezvous for lovers of Japan. Fushimi Inari Shrine (Thousand Torii Gates) – the head shrine among the 30,000 Inari-jinja shrines across Japan. The path leading up to the shrine is a network of trails stretching about 4 km, along which small shrines and many torii gates are scattered. Every year many people come here to pray for successful business and for their wishes to come true. To show gratitude when their prayers have been answered, they offer a torii gate to the shrine as a form of thanks. As a result, the number of torii gates has now reached about 10,000. This is also the location chosen as the setting for the Oscar-winning film “Memoirs of a Geisha”.

If you are lucky, you will glimpse the graceful figures of geiko in splendid kimono and refined make-up walking along the street.
